From the State
A clear and shared vision, a strategy for developing national enterprise, good public governance, recognition of the role of private business leaders and a spirit of ongoing consultation and partnership.
Founded in 1983, the National Confederation of Employers of Senegal (CNES) has become a key partner of the State, the social partners and other technical and financial partners on all matters concerning the private sector.
While aware of the important role that foreign-owned companies must play, CNES has built over the years a development approach centred mainly on the efforts of the national private sector.

2026-2027 roadmap
Since its renewal in 2026, CNES has launched a new dynamic built on listening, closeness and action. Its mission: to represent employers, defend business interests, improve the business environment and support Senegal's economic transformation.
Administrative simplification, shorter payment times, legal certainty for investment and a stable regulatory framework.
Measures to help national companies raise their productivity in the face of ever stronger international competition.
In a country where half the population is under 25, matching training with jobs is a central challenge.
Digital transformation, artificial intelligence, energy transition, industrialisation and regional integration.
Remain a credible and constructive partner of the public authorities in designing economic reforms.
