Producing more in Senegal.
Mission
The 2050 industrial policy aims to meet a growing share of national needs locally while increasing exports of processed goods. The committee works on local content, processing of raw materials, import substitution, industrial competitiveness and the integration of SMEs into major projects.
Identified priorities
- Agro-industry, building materials, manufacturing;
- Energy and industrial services, oil and gas subcontracting.
The challenge: to move gradually from an import economy to a production and processing economy. Local value creation is one of the conditions for the economic sovereignty set out in the Senegal 2050 Vision.
